Day 04: Why you should post on weekends

Why did you take your cue from corporate, bro?

So I heard there are creators that only post Monday to Friday. Why? Are you working at a bank? This is social media bro, why did you take your cue from corporate?

Welcome to Creator 101, your daily dose of creative momentum and we're on Day 04.

If you haven’t been posting on the weekends, here are some reasons why you should start:

1. People are online more: Most people are away from their desks and they have more time to scroll. but guess whose content they won’t see. Yours. Because you too, you took a break to scroll. How can creator and consumer be behaving the same way? Are you even serious? The weekend is the only time some part of your audience will see your content because that’s the only time they’re online.

2. There’s less competition, and room for more visibility with fewer people posting. But after this post, everyone will start posting so probably not.

3. Posting on the weekend helps you maintain momentum and consistency. It doesn't have to be the same kind of content. You can post more low effort, more personal stuff just to make sure the ball keeps rolling and you’re not stopping.

4. Global audiences don’t live in your time zone. What you post on a sunday evening might be viewed somewhere else on a monday morning.

5. Finally, it’s a great way to build trust with your audience because they know you’ll show up, come rain or shine. Motivation monday or TGIF, you are there.

I hope with these few points of mine, I've been able to convince you to start planning to post on the weekends.

Stop assuming everyone has the same weekend as you. If you have 9-5 and your weekends are for rest, there’s people like me and wedding planners, musicians, filmmakers, makeup artists who are normally working all weekend. joo get?

There is no day of the week when content cannot go up.
